Cancellation of participation by delegate
It is your responsibility to ensure all details given on the online booking form are accurate and that you pay careful attention to dietary requirements, particularly if you are making the booking on behalf of someone else.
For cancellations more than six weeks prior to the conference (i.e. on or before Friday 7 October 2022) 75% of the conference registration fee will be refunded.
For cancellations less than six weeks (i.e. after Friday 7 October 2022) prior to the conference no refunds will be made.
Please note that if at the point of cancellation an invoice for the conference registration fee has been delivered but remains unpaid in whole or in part then:
- if cancellation is more than 6 weeks prior to the start of the conference then 25% of the conference registration fee remains due from the cancelling delegate
- if cancellation is less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the conference then the whole of the conference registration fee remains due from the cancelling delegate.
Substitutions
Substitutions are offered free of charge, but multiple day tickets can only be substituted for one individual i.e. they cannot be shared amongst several people.
You must follow the instructions below to notify the conference outsourcing company, Compleat Conference Company Ltd, of any substitutions or cancellations:
If a registered delegate is unable to attend the conference and there is to be no substitution, they should email confirmation of the cancellation to cheryl@compleatconference.co.uk
If a registered delegate is unable to attend the conference but wishes to substitute someone to attend in their place then they should use the above procedure notifying the substitute details, i.e. name, job title, organisation, email address and any dietary or special requirements, no later than Friday 11 November.
Requests for substitution after this date will only be allowed at the sole discretion of Hospice UK.
Change from SEC to online conference by Hospice UK
Hospice UK will be monitoring the situation carefully and may, in its sole discretion, opt to hold the conference online instead of at SEC Glasgow.
You will automatically be registered to attend the online conference, and registration fees will be reduced to:
- Hospice UK members £260 (inc VAT)
- Non-members £370 (inc VAT)
This is the fee for those who register to attend the conference only online in any event. Hospice UK will automatically retain £260 (members) or £370 (non-members) from your conference registration fee to enable you to participate in the online conference.
If you don't wish to be automatically registered for the online event
If you do not wish to do so, you must notify cheryl@compleatconference.co.uk within 7 working days of the announcement to secure a full refund.
How to make a substitution
Should you instead wish to substitute someone to attend the online conference in your place, you may do so no later than 5pm on Friday 11 November by notifying the substitute details, i.e. name, job title, organisation to cheryl@compleatconference.co.uk.
Requests for substitution after this date will only be allowed at the sole discretion of Hospice UK.
