Hospice Accounts Report
Each year we produce a Hospice Accounts Report, which analyses financial information and trends from independent, charitable hospices based on their published accounts.

haysmacintyre partnered with Hospice UK for the eighth year to produce the Hospice Accounts Report.
This report brings together information from the statutory accounts of 191 independent charitable hospices in the UK. It shows a sector with total annual expenditure of £1.5 billion per year.

We partnered with haysmacintyre for the seventh year to produce the Hospice Accounts Report.
The 2021 report brings together information from the statutory accounts of 191 independent charitable hospices in the UK, plus two national charities, Marie Curie and Sue Ryder. It shows a sector with a total annual income of £1.6 billion per year.

This sixth annual Hospice Accounts Report brings together the accounts of charitable hospices in the UK, which are primarily local charities governed by voluntary trustees. The purpose of the report is to:
- Demonstrate the size and operation of hospice care in the UK;
- Identify and highlight changes over time in the overall operation of these hospices;
- Identify differences between the various sizes of hospice;
- Provide hospices with critical figures and benchmarks against which to compare their own accounts.

Financial Benchmarking Network
Hospice UK and db associates have teamed up to offer a new financial benchmarking service to hospices.
We provide a quarterly top line review of hospice finances, which will enable you to compare your own performance against aggregated figures from across the sector. This will also allow Hospice UK to have more contemporary data to use in our advocacy and campaigning work.
