Millie, Reception and Office Co-ordinator
"I like working at Hospice UK because:
- Of its relaxed environment where you are able to build relationships with colleagues outside of your team
- I like the work life balance it provides with its flexible working conditions. I have some flexibility in my role and it's great that I can adapt and share my role
- As well as the open door policy I have with my line manager, HUK also gives the opportunity for your voice to be heard, through various initiatives such as staff meetings and away days."
Jamie, Digital Manager
"Working at Hospice UK has been like nowhere else I’ve worked.
I’ve been inspired, challenged and energised by working with some amazing people and teams. I’m unashamed to say I’ve laughed and I’ve cried. I’ve made hundreds of videos, shared thousands of stories. I’ve been perched in all sorts of strange positions persuading people to do crazy things in front of camera.
My favourite memories, silly as it may sound, involve gunge, custard pies and going very yellow! The fact is, I’d do it all again, because Hospice UK grabs you in a way that few charities can. And that’s not just because of the work we do, which is so important. It’s because of the people, because you know they’re right there with you.
It’s why this place is very special."
